Today, on Friday November 22, 2019, SAPA released a survey seeking crucial community advice for the future direction of their organization. They invited everyone from the SAPA community to weigh in on important decisions facing the rapidly-growing community organization.
One controversial issue has been the fate of the popular community event, PaganFest, which was hotly debated in camera at the policy meeting earlier this week. The board of directors requires not only the recommendations of the policy committee to go forward with any expansions or changes for the event, but also community feedback.
Kit Huxley Fisher, creator of the Survey and SAPA Member-at-Large, was reached for comment on the survey they created. "Over the past year, we have received amazing community feedback on what SAPA is doing right, where we can improve, and what our community's needs are."
They stressed how important it was to hear from the membership, and how privileged SAPA feels to have a community that shows its appreciation for the association by identifying its strengths and weaknesses.
"This is a valuable resource to us, and the board wants to hear your voices as we plan out the 2019/2020, year! You can find our survey here on our website, on our Facebook page, or in the inboxes of our newsletter and volunteer subscribers. Thank you for contributing to the collective path of this community."
