SAPA's Survey Results

Writer's picture: SAPASAPA

One of the mandates of SAPA is to listen to the feedback from the community in which we serve. We are continuously gracious for everything that our members provide us, from donations of time, supplies, or money; as well as the invaluable feedback that we receive. We endeavour to take that feedback, and integrate the comments into our work as we tirelessly plan and execute educational opportunities for you, the community.

Just after the second AGM, we released a survey to determine what the community felt was important as we begin our planning for the upcoming year. We were overwhelmed with the amount of respondents that we had! Thank you, for trusting us enough to share your voice.

From the survey, It seems that many people have heard about SAPA through Word of Mouth! This is such an amazing thought! We are able to create a sense of community that others are talking about it, and sharing with their friends! Thank you!

We also notice that the Crystals 101 workshop that was held in April was the most favorite workshop that we held in our first year! We are please to announce that we are in talks with our facilitator to see if she can provide another 101, and perhaps even a 201 for those that want a little more in-depth information. We also had a strong response for Ond Breathing Workshop, and we are happy to have our facilitator as part of the board this year! He is looking forward to returning to facilitate this workshop for the community! If there are other workshops you would like to see, please let us know! We would be happy to accommodate!

It was no surprise to see that most people who responded found that our monthly Brewing with Witches was their favourite non-sabbat event! We are happy to see the group grow, change and evolve. We see new faces each month, and are blessed to have many returning members join us each month. We are truly grateful for every one that makes this event a success. Beltane PaganFest was the favourite Sabbat event, and we hope that in the future, we can devote the same amount of time and attention to this ritual as it deserves! Beltane is a wonderful fire celebration that welcomes the return of Summer and it deserves to be honoured in the way it was intended.

Our survey then asked what was the most important things to see in the future of SAPA. It is the responses to these questions that will drive the Board’s actions in the upcoming year. We see that rituals and education are the two most important aspects to our community. It also happens to be the two aspects that the community appears to be looking forward to as SAPA continues to grow and flourish.

We thank everyone who took the 5 minutes to fill out our survey, and we will strive to reach – and surpass – your expectations for the 2019/2020 year! Please know that we always accept feedback, at all times, so if you missed the survey, don’t hesitate to reach out at any one of our events!
